The first time I dared to photograph a stranger in the streets was at New York Fashion Week. I remember it like if it was yesterday (it was in fact 2012). It was on a freezing February afternoon and I had been out with my camera in hand. I found myself at the Lincoln Center where an interesting and stylish silhouette crossed my path. As I was staring, she smiled at me and asked if I wanted to snap a picture of her. I kindly obliged.
Suddenly New York City was not my only model anymore, New Yorkers were in my spotlight as well. A certain adrenaline had grown on me. I guess you can say I found a purpose that day. I ended up going back to photograph people making their way to the tents the remaining days of NYFW. The rest is history.
